“A Sake-Focused Experience Program That Teaches Guests How to Confidently Choose and Enjoy Sake“
We work with a wide range of culturally curious travelers, including international corporate incentive groups, MICE programs, university study trips, and private family groups, to deliver experiences that go far beyond casual tastings.
Rather than simply “trying sake,” our programs are designed to help guests understand the fundamentals of sake—how it is made, how to taste it, and how to choose it—through expert-led tastings and immersive brewery visits.

Brewery Visit in Fushimi, Kyoto
Brewery visits are included in our 3-hour programs and take place in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of Japan’s most important sake districts. The brewery is selected based on the group’s purpose and schedule.
At traditional breweries such as Gekkeikan, the visit focuses on history and cultural background through museum-based exhibits that explain how sake has been made in Kyoto over time.
At modern breweries like Kizakura, guests explore contemporary brewing facilities and, when possible, observe parts of the active brewing process to understand how sake is produced today.
This visit helps guests clearly understand what makes sake different from wine or beer, even if they are new to sake.
Sake Tasting with a Local Sake Expert
Guests taste a selection of sake guided by a local sake expert, with clear explanations that help them understand the differences between each style. The goal of the tasting is not just to drink, but to learn how to recognize personal preferences.
Through the tasting, guests begin to understand how factors such as rice polishing, brewing methods, and the use or non-use of added alcohol affect aroma and flavor. Unique styles such as cloudy sake and aged sake may also be introduced, depending on the program.
By the end of the experience, many guests feel confident choosing sake on a restaurant menu or at a sake shop, even after returning home.
Food Pairing
The food pairing session shows how the taste of sake changes when enjoyed with different foods. Guests learn how food and sake interact, and how pairing plays an important role in Japanese dining culture.
This session helps guests understand sake not as a standalone drink, but as part of a meal—making it easier to appreciate and choose sake in real dining situations.

For Tour Leaders & Guides
All on-site operations are fully handled by the KISE team. Interpreting guides are not required to stay with the group throughout the program.
After a brief greeting at the start, guides are welcome to step away during the experience and return at the scheduled end time.
During the program, guides may use the time freely—for rest, preparation, or other duties nearby.
Program flow and important notes are shared in advance, helping reduce on-site coordination and workload.
Interpreting guides are, of course, welcome to join the program if preferred.
About Interpretation
This program is designed to maintain a steady pace and a high level of engagement, and is therefore conducted primarily in English. Adding interpretation can slow down the flow of the experience and reduce overall immersion.
For this reason, we recommend running the program without interpretation whenever possible. However, interpretation support can be arranged if required.
Please note that when interpretation is included, the program duration will be longer and operational complexity will increase. As a result, program content and pricing will differ. We kindly ask that interpretation needs be discussed in advance.
When interpretation is required, an additional fee applies due to extended program time and increased operational workload. As a guideline, this is typically approximately +20% of the standard program fee, or a fixed additional charge.
Pricing & Terms
- Group pricing is quoted individually based on group size and program details.
- Payment terms and cancellation policies are provided in advance as part of the quotation process.
- Preliminary consultations and familiarization visits (FAM) can be arranged upon request.
