If it is your second time or you simply love nature and being away from the city area, you may want to visit Tango region located in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture. This region is about 2 hours away from Kyoto Station so it’s worth staying over rather than just visiting as a day-trip.

Good news for nature lovers. Tango has a nostalgic atmosphere with lots of nature. As well as mountains, rivers and ocean, there are many sake breweries in Tango. Here we are introducing one of yearly sake event there.

Making a Visit to Sake Breweries in Tango

Tango Tenshu Festival is a sake breweries opening event in the end of May. It is a festival organized by Kuramoto, local breweries. You can enjoy local sake as well as events such as a tour inside breweries and food stalls of local food. Therefore at the Tango Tenshu Festival, you can enjoy the “excellent taste to drink at the place where sake is born”, which is not found in regular sake festivals.
